Preterite and Imperfect are a beautiful, powerful and distinctive part of Spanish but for the same reason they require a lot of practice to see through their differences and nuances.
By giving you one more past tense in this level Present Perfect, those differenes between the two will become more obvious, easy to remember and as a result everything will make much more sense.
You will be jumping with ease from one to the other as your speech requires. Expect a lot of talking and writing in this level!
